Enmig d’una invasió de cadenes de forns de pa, és una alegria veure que també hi ha pastisseries de tota la vida que expandeixen el negoci a altres barris de Barcelona. Fa pocs mesos, Oriol Carrió, amb una llarga història al carrer Bailèn, ha obert una nova botiga a l’Esquerra de l’Eixample, en el local on hi havia la històrica pastisseria Serra; mentre que el Forn Gil, molt arrelat al barri del Clot, on té tres botigues, ha estrenat un establiment a La Rambla, a la part baixa del Palau Moja, on proposa un esmorzar alternatiu al brunch, les torrades a la catalana: amb calçots, escalivada o trinxat. Una reivindicació de la tradició en ple centre turístic.
