Tanzania es uno de los mejores países de África para realizar un safari, ver animales salvajes y disfrutar de una naturaleza impresionante. En total hay más de 20 parques nacionales en el país, pero, sin duda, uno de los más visitados y conocidos mundialmente es el parque nacional del Serengueti, con unos 350.000 visitantes al año. Situado al norte del país, este parque nacional es el único lugar donde se pueden observar millones de ñus migratorios, contemplar atardeceres del color de la miel o descubrir una de las mayores concentraciones de depredadores del mundo: actualmente, según fuentes oficiales, el parque cuenta con 7.500 hienas, 3.000 leones y 250 guepardos.
